The Carnaby Streak

I am loving the handmade collection by The Carnaby Streak right now. While I’m yet to order anything just yet, I’m hoping to kit out my bridesmaids in some mod-tastic dresses for my wedding next year. All dresses are 60s mod-inspired and handmade to order. Check it out for A-line, peter pan collars and contrasting panels galore!

The Supremes, looking positively bangin’!

The Supremes 1968

The accompanying text from The Detroit News reads:

“Back in the ’60s people dressed up to travel by air. The Supremes arrive at an airport in Belleville, Ill., in 1968. Motown had dropped Florence Ballard from the group and replaced her with Cindy Birdsong, at left, wearing a wool suit. Diana Ross, center, wears a plaid mini suit with textured white stockings and knee-high boots, and Mary Wilson sports a fashionable fake fur.”

Just. Perfect.
